The main inspection items of full-vehicle abnormal noise DMU review cover six dimensions, namely structural clearance, isolation partition, structural stiffness, secure fastening, material selection and elastic preload, collectively known in the industry as the "KISS ME" principle. Over 95% of design risks can be avoided by following the "KISS ME" principle during digital design:
■ K-Clearance (Structural
Clearance): Sufficient clearance shall be reserved between components to
eliminate abnormal noise induced by friction or collision.
■ I-Isolation: Isolation
materials shall be added to parts with relative movement to prevent friction
and impact noise.
■ S-Structure (Structural
Stiffness): Large-size components shall be designed with adequate stiffness and
strength to suppress excessive vibration response.
■ S-Secure (Secure Fastening):
Wiring harnesses and panels shall be equipped with sufficient fixing points and
reliable fastening methods for stable mounting.
■ M-Material (Material
Selection): Self-lubricating or anti-rattle materials with excellent wear
resistance shall be adopted, especially for decorative trims, to avoid friction
abnormal noise.
■ E-Elastic (Elastic Preload): Buffering components shall be designed with sufficient compression (pre-deformation) to generate preload force and prevent impact abnormal noise.
