WPA consists of mobile acquisition software, a data acquisition unit and binaural recording & playback headphones. Connect the data acquisition unit to your mobile device via USB-C. Once configured, simply launch the software to start data collection. Powered by USB-C, the unit operates independently for maximum portability and unrestricted mobility.

■ WPA: Effortless Synchronous Acquisition and Playback of
Binaural Signals and Vehicle CAN Data
Simply install the WPA software on a tablet and connect the CAN cable. No extra power supplies, tripods or additional accessories are required. You can perform acquisition of binaural signals, dual-channel ICP microphone data and CAN data anytime and anywhere.
■ Streamlined Test Procedures
Install WPA on your mobile device, connect the WPA BOX,
put on the headphones and plug in the CAN cable. Launch the software to start
testing immediately.
The WPA BOX is powered via the USB-C port of the mobile device, enabling standalone operation of the entire system with no external power supply needed.
■ CAN Data Acquisition
It supports simultaneous collection of up to two channels
of CAN/CAN FD bus data and binaural signals.
Users can load DBC files to configure target CAN channels
for data monitoring and acquisition. Saved CAN data can be viewed and analyzed
without DBC files afterwards.
The system also supports independent monitoring and acquisition of CAN data.
■ Real-time Signal Analysis
The software enables data monitoring and recording. No
data will be stored during monitoring mode.
The following dynamic information is displayed in real
time during monitoring or acquisition:
Time-domain waveforms, real-time FFT results, color spectrograms, overall sound pressure level, speech intelligibility, loudness, sharpness, CAN channel information and videos captured by the mobile device.
■ Data Storage and Playback
All data files are saved on the mobile device and managed
via a dedicated list. The list features:
- High-fidelity playback
via the built-in player;
- Real-time display of CAN
information during recording and playback, together with synchronized
time-domain data, real-time FFT results, color spectrograms, overall sound
pressure level, speech intelligibility, loudness, sharpness and mobile
device videos.
